he's gone

The best Daddy a girl could ask for passed away after a very brave battle with colon cancer. He truly lit up a room when he walked into it and always was quick to smile and laugh. I am who I am because of him and I can't thank him enough for being my Dad. It's been my honor and privilege to care for him. And while I know he's in a better place and no longer in pain, it doesn't soothe the worst part of it all, having to live the rest of my life without him.

    Amanda - I am so sad to read about this significant loss. Your dad really sounds like an amazing man who was an incredible father. Your love and devotion is so genuine and I can only imagine how difficult this time is for you.
